City light is short

Belfast apartments and townhouses often get a short window of direct sun, with buildings opposite and light from one side. I plan Belfast shoots around that window.

A Belfast apartment

One recent Belfast shoot was an apartment photographed in afternoon sun: the open-plan living space, the dining table set for dinner, the kitchen, two bedrooms and the bathroom.

Light in the city

City streets throw shadows that cross a room fast. I check the street, the floor and the direction of each window before the day, so living spaces are shot when the light is on them rather than on the building opposite.

Interiors for designers and makers

For designers and makers in Belfast I shoot the scheme and the detail: the joinery, the stone, the brass. There’s more on how those shoots work on my interior photography page.

Developers

For new-build schemes in and around the city, I shoot the show home and the plots to one grade, so the brochure, the website and the hoardings match.

Stills, film and drone are shot in one visit and graded as one set. Book me and you get me. No juniors, no subcontractors.
