The brief

Timber cladding, green panelling, an oak worktop and a butler sink. Two shepherd’s huts and a plywood cabin on a private lake, shot at sunrise and at golden hour so the timber and the water read together.

The light plan

Two visits. Sunrise for the stillness on the water, and the evening for warm light raking across the timber cladding.

Inside, every frame keeps something of the outside in it: the lake through the open door, the field past the bed, the jetty from the step. Small buildings are designed around what they frame, so the frame is the point.

What was delivered

Interior and exterior stills of the huts and the cabin, and the details of the build: the panelling, the woodburner, the oak shelf and the view from the bed.
