The House, Bushmills
The brief
Plantation shutters, herringbone oak, tan leather and a stone lamp. I shot the room in the last hour of daylight, when the sun comes low through the shutters and rakes across the grain of the floor. Stills and film share one grade.
The light plan
The room takes the evening sun through its shuttered windows. I timed the shoot for the last hour of daylight, when the light comes in low enough to stripe the herringbone floor and reach the far wall.
The details were shot in the same light as the wide frames, so the wine on the table, the lamp and the leather sit with the room rather than apart from it.
What was delivered
Interior stills of the living room and its details, and a film shot on the same visit and graded with the stills, so the two can sit side by side on a website or in a submission.
